Tomoko Yamamoto is the founder and Principal of Yamamoto Attorneys. Tomoko was born and educated in Japan prior to transferring from Kitakyushu University to New South Wales University to study Law and Economics. She was admitted to practice law in Australia in 1998 and is widely recognized in the joint Japanese – Australian business community.
Tomoko has acted for numerous public and private Japanese companies. Primary area of expertise is Family Law and she has regularly advised not only individual clients, but also at Japanese government level.
Tomoko is a licensed Migration Agent (#0959146) and NAATI accredited English-Japanese translator at professional level. She writes articles covering a wide range of relevant legal issues for Nichigo Press newspaper since 1998, and Dengonnet newspaper since 2017.
